How does the Schaefer Orbiter System operate?

Oriented towards the market and customer needs, the Schaefer Orbiter System sets new standards for shuttle solutions: dynamic, efficient and simple to operate, juggling performance and safety.

The fork-lift picks up the Docking Station incl. the Orbiter and places it on the front centring console of the rack aisles. When the core unit is transferred the Orbiter is in the Docking Station and thus protected from all sides against any third party effect.

The advantages of transport and energy efficiency are obvious: Each function unit is connected to an operating device. This means several Orbiters can be administered by the same fork-lift driver, who operates in the front area of the aisles only. Transport of the goods in the aisle is done automatically by the Orbiter Shuttle.

The optimised and above average retrieval speed of the goods is supported by the use of several shuttle vehicles at the same time. The four high resolution controlled drives on the Orbiter provide a high dynamic.
The fork-lift driver can carry out other activities whilst the goods are stored or retrieved.
