SSI Schäfer creates SAP-Software concept
BEKO TECHNOLOGIES entrusts SSI Schäfer with the consulting for the planning and design of SAP LES.
Intraogistics specialist SSI Schäfer, Giebelstadt, has accepted the bid from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES GMBH, Neuss, for the consulting and planning of an efficient software connection of a new warehouse complex consolidating SAP. The ultimate goal is the ideal process-integration of SAP LES-WM and SAP LES-TRM for supply of and removal from production as well as for processes of goods receiving and goods issuing.
SSI Schäfer will be responsible for the creation of the requirement specification and the conceptual design of the warehouse management system for SAP along with the integra-tion of the subordinate systems for material flow and control.
BEKO TECHNOLOGIES GMBH develops, produces and sells systems and components for the preparation of compressed air and condensate-systems worldwide. After the change-over to SAP ERP 6.0 as well as the restructuring of areal and operative proc-esses at the production site Neuss, the warehousing processes of the technology venture are to be switched to radio frequency identification (RFID) and integrated into the IT-infrastructure in an optimal way.
In order to avoid unnecessary interfaces, SAP LES-WM and SAP LES-TRM will be used. With the consulting-order, SSI Schäfer will establish the required layout for the SAP-software needed to meet the individual requirements. In this process SAP-consultants of SSI Schäfer present the customer with optional scenarios for the integration and support him during the communications process with the executing software developer. "We ob-jectively show the customer what can and cannot be done with his SAP-infrastructure", says Michael Vollmuth, head of SAP-Consulting at SSI Schäfer. "This way BEKO TECH-NOLOGIES will have an individually tailored, economic solution at their disposal that is based on standard SAP systems."
